If I was you, I wouldn't be able to drive the car anymore without being paranoid. Every time I would floor the car I would drive home with the volume down lol im sorry but I would probably sell it after that experience...not because it it isn't nt a great car, but I would have ptsd from that car experience.

You’re such a cool guy Paul, and truly hope the Demon is ok from now on. However if you are looking for answers from those “Stellantis” clowns, good luck. Doubtful anyone who’s still there has the answers, Chrysler used to be a great US auto company, but too many bad marriages has drained it. The Demon is a great car, totally unique and there are hundreds of Demon owners who will give you more advice and help than anyone at Stellantis.

Most of the time the problem supercharger. It goes bad, putting all the metal inside. Glad you got it back.

Racer x I hate to say this but if it would have been broken in the right time maybe it wouldn't have blown up you just can't take him to the drag strip unless you have a lot of miles on it this is 40 years of drag racing experience

40 weight oil is thick enough..that shouldnt be what caused the engine to fail.However using a straight 40 doesnt make sense...a 10/40 may be better since its a street driven car and 10 40 will have additives that prolong the ability of the oil to withstand thermal breakdown and pressure With how hard that engine runs...you should absolutely change the oil after a day at the track...the manual should make that clear..if it doesnt then there is your problem that allowed the engine to fail. In summer though i would upgrade to a 20/50 for optimum protection....all in all that engine almost certainly failed due to an oil related durability issue

You've already started the breakin wrong. You shouldn't be cruising like that, make sure the engine is not running at constant rpm speed. Drive in the city not on a highway at 55.

Man I'm glad you got your car back but all this Stellantis bs has really tarnished the brand.

Make sure your heat cycles don't involve excessive run time at idle rpms. Hemi's shouldn't sit and idle for more than a few minutes. Drive it. Take it easy, but don't baby it or lug it around. Vary the rpms and load. Keep it under 4k for the first 300 miles or so if you can. Change the oil early and often. Best of luck 👍🏻

You are to be commended for wanting to drive it like intended, but with that being said if you hammer on it, it will break again, let's face it these cars are more for the collector who is going to put it in a bubble and never drive it, which does the cars no favor either, you have to drive them!

Glad you have the car back. Personally, I would sell it at this point if I were you. Fresh engine under warranty that has never seen the track will make the car bring top dollar.

You’re waiting for answers from Dodge, when they produce engines that eat themselves. As for brake in procedure, RPM of Delaware builds GM products then redlines them on the dyno on day 1. Thank God for my Camero ss.

the Demon 170 Owners manual supplement has detailed breakin procedures. This is why Stellantus is not "getting back to you". Follow the procedures they have already provided. @8:44 you already are not following the written guidance in the Demon 170 owners supplement. @9:59, your "breakin process" is different from the written guidance in the Demon 170 owners supplement and you are still not following the Demon 170 owners supplement at this point in the video.

Good luck i hope it works out but does a new motor devalue the car because now its not numbers matching? would it have been better to do a rebuild of its OG motor? for the price of this car should you tolerate a devalued one? or get rid of it and move on? i think this is something thats up to you but realize in the future this may come up when you go to sell it and its no longer a new motor.
